Biography

Bob Scherer serves as dean and professor of management. He has published more than 150 scholarly and professional works in the areas of business education, performance, occupational stress, safety, entrepreneurship, international management, organizational communication, and gender issues in the workplace. Dr. Scherer regularly teaches courses and workshops in Chile and Spain on leadership, teamwork, and organizational development. He has consulted with over 50 private, public, and nonprofit organizations on a variety of organizational and performance issues. He serves or has served on the boards of more than fifteen public, nonprofit, and professional organizations. Prior to entering a university career, Scherer held managerial positions in the insurance and magazine publishing industries.
